Appteria, an agency specialised in the digitalisation of businesses and hospitality properties in Tuscany, collects limited personal data in order to handle enquiries and improve the user experience, in full compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

This policy describes how the personal data of users who visit the site is processed, in line with the standards of transparency and completeness.

2. Types of Data Collected

This site collects data in two main ways:

  • Data provided voluntarily by the user: name, email address, phone number and the content of messages sent through the contact forms, by direct email or via WhatsApp. This data is necessary to answer enquiries about our digitalisation, web development, automation and AI Concierge services.
  • Technical and browsing data: IP addresses, browser type, date and time of the visit, the URI/URL of the resources requested and other parameters relating to the user's operating system. This data is used for statistical purposes and to check that the site is working correctly.

The site collects no sensitive data (e.g. health or religious data) and no payment data.

3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Answering enquiries and contacts: to handle requests for quotes, consultations or information about our services sent through the site or WhatsApp. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures.
  • Marketing and newsletter: to send updates or promotional material (only with your explicit consent). Legal basis: consent of the data subject.
  • Statistical analysis and security: to analyse site traffic in aggregate form and keep the platform secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller.

Data retention: contact data is kept for 2 years, or for as long as is strictly necessary to handle the enquiry, unless the law requires otherwise.

4. Cookies and Third-Party Services

The site uses technical cookies (necessary for it to work) and analytics/profiling cookies (to improve the experience and analyse traffic). Non-technical cookies are used only with the consent given through the cookie banner.

Main third parties:

  • Google Analytics (or similar): anonymised browsing statistics.
  • Hosting services: Vercel Inc.
  • WhatsApp: for direct contact with clients (data processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.).
  • Email marketing: we currently use no email marketing tools. If we activate one in the future (e.g. Mailchimp), we will update this policy before any data is processed with it.

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Appteria ensures that the processing is governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission.

5. Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the right at any time to:

  • access your personal data;
  • ask for it to be corrected or deleted;
  • object to the processing or ask for it to be restricted;
  • request data portability;
  • withdraw your consent (e.g. for cookies or the newsletter).

To exercise these rights, write to appteria.it@gmail.com. The controller will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Garante Privacy) if you believe your rights have been infringed.

6. Security and Changes

We apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures (including HTTPS/SSL) to protect data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
